I use the most secure browser which is Chrome. I always run my browsers in Sandboxie unless I am updating, changing settings or adding &/or removing an extension. I am extremely careful no matter what site i'm on (I don't click anything and everything) I have a few different web filters (Eset being one of them) which add to my layer of security...most of the time I have my system partition in Shadow Mode so if anything bad happens all I have to do is reboot and malware is gone. I run scans whenever I feel it's time (no set schedule), If I want to test a questionable file or just try a new piece of software I can either run it in the sandbox or use VMware for my testing. All my programs and plugins are updated using filehippo updater or I manually search for an update. If my computer starts acting weird or something bypasses ALL my security (which is highly unlikely) I have a couple backups on my external hdd so in less then 30 min I'm back in business. That's about it for now unless I remember something in the future. When in doubt don't click it or download it! Be Safe Happy Surfing

RE: MRF71's Config (Updated 7-22-12)
I really like IceDragon (alot faster than any other mozilla based browser i've tried) butttttt I am so used to using chromium browsers I have to say Dragon is my fav and since it has a built-in sandbox (like chrome) I'd say it's the safest.

RE: MRF71's Config (Updated 7-22-12)
IceDragon is Mozilla based and Dragon is Chromium based
Um.....IceDragon takes as long to startup as FF and around the same memory (currently 182K with 1 tab opened) but it's as quick as a cat switching to new tabs and opening new tabs, FF just drags along like a turtle atleast on my machine. My Real-Time Protection

The automatic sandbox is restriction based. Very similar to the way the Chrome sandbox works. If you want a fully virtualized sandbox environment, (similar to Sandboxie) you will need to utilize the manual sandbox in CIS. |
