Found nothing on my search of "PeerBlock" in the forum on this. Anyone use this or have comments about this program? Just curious.
Mike

A few of us use it, but hardly any of us even published as part of our tools.

Earth can tell you more for example.

RE: PeerBlock
Well thanks for the quick reply. From what I read online, from unbiased reviewers, it's basically a program to block a list or range of KNOWN IP Addresses. Last release of the program was Oct of 2011. Not sure if the blacklist or the program is even maintained anymore.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I see this as mainly a program to protect one's self on P2P networks mostly.

RE: PeerBlock
It is mainly for P2P. Block lists etc still get update.

It is a handy program nevertheless.

PeerBlock download >> http://www.peerblock.com/

More Block lists >> http://www.iblocklist.com/lists.php

There's not much to say about it, except it's a great piece of open-source IP Blocker software (that has replaced Peer Guardian).

RE: PeerBlock
Thought Peer Guardian was still being maintained for Linux or am I outdated?

RE: PeerBlock
That's new to me Huh Wikipedia says discontinued but Sourceforge (Last Update: 2012-06-29)
http://sourceforge.net/projects/peerguardian/

Edit: Not maintained for Windows, so you may be correct.

That is what I remember this software as. Use to use the Peer Guardian, don't know why I stopped using this version.

Thanks guys
I'll keep it in my tool bag and maybe one day I'll use it.
