Download and install System Explorer or just download the Portable version, unzip and run from location.

On System Explorer, go to the Autoruns tab and delete it from there.

If that entree isn't listed, then CCleaner is incorrectly displaying the item.

System Explorer can delete Autoruns that msconfig, Microsoft Autoruns and other tools can't delete.

Good luck. Big Grin

The item is listed in msconfig, but not listed in System Explorer. Huh

RE: Unable to remove startup item from CCleaner
There is a little program called "msconfig cleanup" that might help. I use it to obliterate recurring start up nonsense that I don't want slowing down my PC. I don't have a link though.

I just found out why it is not listed in Autoruns, it is because it is in your startup folder of current user, it has no registry entrees.

Go the your Start Menu-> All Programs-> Startup and right click and delete entree.

If you can't find it that way then try this:

C:\Users\"Your Current User Name"\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Find entree and delete it.

Earth, if I was experiencing something like you are now, I would use either Hijackthis or Runscanner. Here are the links.

Earth use WinPatrol. Then when you find secunia psi entry right click and select delte on reboot. This will permenately force delte it. WinPatrol has worked for me.

RE: Unable to remove startup item from CCleaner
@ZOU1 - Thanks for the link, but it didn't find anything.

@Umbra - No, but I tried the Portable one today, same results.

@Littlebits - I searched with Search Everything and no results relating to Secunia.

@pcjunklist - Nope, I don't use CCEnhancer but what is it?

@malbky - Does WinPatrol have a portable version?

Btw, thanks for all the suggestions. Smile

Edit:

@bo.elam - I'll have a look at that tomorrow.

Don't about this one is that have you tried uninstalling CCleaner and then reinstalling it and seeing if it's still there?
