Remove “I WANT THIS!” button (Removal Guide)

“I Want This” is an ad-supported software developed by 215 apps, which will add an “I Want This!” button and display targeted advertisements within the web pages you are viewing.

“I Want This” is an extension for Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome that is typically added when you install other free programs. When you install these free programs, they will also install “I Want This” adware as well. Some of the programs that are known to bundle I Want This include 1ClickDownload, Yontoo and FBPhotoZoom.

The “I Want This” button will appear each time you are purchasing a product, and clicking the button adds items you want to your wishlist and automatically posts them to your wall on your Facebook page. After some time browsing around in your favorite shopping sites, this adware will start to display ads from third party companies and affiliates.

In addition, “I Want This” collects information about the websites you visit and the searches you perform using your favorite web search engines, and IP address, zip code, and country you live in.

You should always pay attention when installing software because often, a software installer includes optional installs, such as this I Want This browser hijacker. Be very careful what you agree to install.
Always opt for the custom installation and deselect anything that is not familiar, especially optional software that you never wanted to download and install in the first place. It goes without saying that you should not install software that you don’t trust.
