Apple Finally Releases Anti-Malware Updates to its Operating Systems

Apple has finally released protective anti-malware updates to its operating systems. Starting with Snow Leopard and Lion OSs, the latest update was given to its OS X 10.5 Leopard.

Updates followed the Flashback mass trojan attack which, as told by security experts, infected up to half a million Macs. Although updates were released, Apple has faced much criticism for the time it has taken to “cure” their products.

Can do better with a self made plastic tower, put an phosphorescent apple sticker on it and run Linux as OS with Apple-style addons and themes

It's hard to justify such an overcharge for regular intel parts. You take the amount it would cost to build the computer and double it and thats the cost of a mac. Wait almost forgot it's pretty........and you can look cool with it even if you wear a black turtleneck! I think it's fitting that tater nuts is going to play him in the movie.

One of the reasons my mom loved Macs was because she thought that Macs were immune to viruses... well now that reason is invalid.

It's a closed system, as Windows RT is to ARM. It's going to be Apple's responsibility to provide minimal protection for Mac, since most think they're immune, or at least how Macs have been advertised.

Even MS is going to provide Anti-Malware protection out of the box with Windows 8.

I bet what will happen, is that they will only put out antivirus for Mac's once it's a bit late.
