Why AV vendors use Bitdefender's virus database but always Bitdefender on the top. Do not believe

Just because they are using the Bitdefender engine doesn't mean they get the same fast updates or even the newest version. Most of them also lack in the proactive defense which Bitdefender has covered by their IDS (in the versions with firewall) and the AVC (Active Virus Control).

How about performance test? Bitdefender and Kaspersky are lighter than ESET?

http://www.av-test.org/en/test-procedures/test-modules/performance/
The tests are carried out on a limited number of computers that are identical in construction and have been verified as having the same system speeds in order to give all products the same chances.
They are only giving vague information about their testing methodology and don't take very different system setups into consideration, so you should take these "performance tests" with a grain of salt.

They should be more specific: what samples where used, from where, md5 list of the samples, on performance what PC, for how long and so on.

its from machine to machine not the same. for the most eset is more lighter than bit/kaspersky. for me kaspersky is way more lighter than eset. i have hug framelaggs while gaming with eset, some browsing problems etc. not any problems with kaspersky.

Such no more thrill on the test result, same name and position based on rankings. They should provide more unique test that surely a game changer.
