Hi.

Baidu 4.4 vs. Panda Cloud Free 2.9
Both are betas. Both claims to have good detection, utilizes the cloud, and light. Now, let me ask, which is better of the two in terms of:

1.) Lightness and Performance
2.) Scanning speed
3.) Detection
4.) 0-Day protection

I am testing Panda Cloud 2.9 Free, and I could say that it is still not so light, and Panda still suffers from low detection rates.

What is your opinion?

typically Baidu has good detection rates because it comes with Avira+ other engines, and Panda only use their own engine. Panda is light, is used it some months ago with 2.2 version, but after some weeks use, its gets heavy, my personal experience....

I didn't tried Panda but Since i have Baidu installed in my pc, i can tell it's lighter & it's performance is good. it's scanning speed also good & detection rate is almost same as qihoo 360. I didn't tested it for 0 day protection so can't say.

Is Baidu lighter than qihoo?

One reason I uninstalled Baidu is that it is SLOW in reacting to malwares. When I unzip malware pack, the detection is slow. But with ESET, every single file that is unzipped is quarantined immediately on the fly, while being unzipped.

Which is lighter, ESET or Baidu?

Yeah u r right. Also when i unzip it can't detect anything so why my main AV is qihoo 360. i installed Baidu but disable it from autostart. so i can use it for on demand scan :D Well go for ESET, ESET own great virus database signatures & very good at detecting PUP. ESET also lighter too.

You could always used ESET Online Scanner (local), for the occasional on-demand scan alongside your primary antivirus. Since it's not running in real-time, it does not conflict.
