Hi everyone. I am a new member as of today. I thought Stelian's article (zero-access removal) was amazing! THANK YOU!!! I have two computers, both running on Windows 7 S1(x64)... I believe both had the zeroaccess and I followed the instructions given by Stelian. One computer seems to be working fine... I don't know how to check if it is all gone. EEK scan shows clean but computer's IE browser working slow... The other computer, when I run EEK full scan, shows Backdoor Beast, and Adware Mostofate and Adware Lokup.... can someone help me out ... Can I use the same procedure as outlined in this article for Beast Removal? Thanks!! Would love to go by Bucharest to say hi sometime :) .. I live in Florida and I work helping orphan and needy children in the Dominican Republic and Honduras.... gabriel

Hello,

FRST.gif
Scan with Farbar Recovery Scan Tool

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatibale with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them.
Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.

  • Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Press Scan button.
  • It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please attach it to your reply.
  • The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply.

Hi Argus.. Thanks for getting back to me.. Ran the scan and attached the logs.. just fyi (for your information) .. After my last post, I ran Malwarebytes Anti Rootkit and fixdamage.exe... my computer would shut down unexpectedly every 20-30 minutes, so i downloaded latest drives for the motherboard (Acer JE70-SB) including the one for the AMD Display... i think/hope it is fixed. Also.. someone(s) tried to take over my computer and i was fortunately able to go to a restore point (Through Computer Repair Option at boot). Thanks again for the help. I recently installed Malawarebytes Premium real-time to help monitor threats..Is that a good program or is there a better one? tc

Running it on another one may cause damage and render the system unstable.

Download attached fixlist.txt file and save it to the Desktop:

Both files, FRST and fixlist.txt have to be in the same location or the fix will not work!

  • Right-click on
    FRST.gif
    icon and select
    RunAsAdmin.jpg
Run as Administrator to start the tool.
(XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File).
  • Press the Fix button just once and wait.
  • If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
  • When finished FRST will generate a log on the Desktop, called Fixlog.txt.

Please attach it to your reply.
