The Web browser has been a major infection vector for years, allowing malware to be transported to millions of computers. But if there were more secure alternatives to IE, Chrome and Firefox? We tested eight of these better browsers. We looked at Spikes AirGap, Spoon’s BrowerStudio and Invincea’s FreeSpace, which take the sandbox approach. And we looked at Comodo’s Dragon, Bitdefender’s Safepay, SRWare Iron and open source Dooble, which offer a locked down alternative to your current browser. Authentic8 Silo, our eighth product in this review, uses elements of both approaches.

Mostly all browsers are built off chrome, firefox, but probably because it's a way to make money.

Have you tried Firefox with NoScript? That should be the security solution required for you!

Also please note that Facebook flash games are very slow, because of the high Security settings in use!

Chromium/Chrome use light sandboxing techniques.

Internet Explorer uses Protected Mode, and now Enhanced Protected Mode in later versions.

Firefox uses the PluginContainer.exe process, but I do not know how that works.

Well I only like one Web Browser after 15 Years or more of testing them, so far the best browser which is Firefox. After testing the others I really didn't like most!

1. Firefox * - Read the code great and stable!
2. IE8 - Later Versions have Bugs
3. Google Chrome - Bugs
4. Comodo Dragon

Note: Google Chrome has nice looks, but I think all Google products are never made right!

(BlackBox) Hacker,

What are your tops three pick?;)

Google Chrome. Each Tab has it's own separate sandbox so it can't mitigate to another tab. I haven't seen too many bugs from Chrome either. I've seen more flash and script bugs from Firefox than chrome.

Your Welcome!

(BlackBox) Hacker!

Thanks for sharing!:)

Google Chrome messed up my blogger page!

Hope the bugs are fixed, because I really like the look of it!!!

It is no secret that Google Chrome is probably the safest browser available. Google has put a lot of money into it and actively pays hackers to try to exploit it. No other browser has went to these lengths to secure their product. Chromium clones just run off of Google's work if they keep their product updated and most don't.

But I still prefer Mozilla Firefox, I really don't care too much for Google Chrome since it still lacks features I'm actively use in Firefox and some of the extensions are not complete. Still Google Chrome is an excellent browser, I use it as a backup sometimes and playing Angry Birds.

Thanks. :D

They all perform the same function which is to navigate from one website to another. Some do it quicker than others. The security aspect is entirely upto the person behind the keyboard.
