With the every increasing online usage the threat of stolen data, malware and online frauds is on a rise. Precaution is the only cure and protection we have.

To secure online banking transactions and reduce risk of malware and online frauds I have a list of some of the well tested software which would keep us safe.

1. For online banking transactions : Use Bitdefender Safepay. It is really effective and a safe alternative.
2. For keyloggers : Zemana Antilogger software.
3. For privacy and online safety : Zonealarm firewall + Anivirus.
4. For malware : Super antispyware.

All these are specialist in their respective departments and hence make it a complete suit.

Hi vmserv,

You mentioned it correctly. I did mention Norton in the title but I wanted to create a customized suit to meet all challenges today. Hence in comparison to a particular security suit available in market, I feet this combination is far better and effective.

Does the version of SafePay you use, include the option for Flash and Java? Safe alternative to what?

Keeping it short, you don't need all those software.
1. Keep Windows and your third-party software updated.
2. Install only the software you trust and keep it minimal. Won't use it? Don't install it. Stopped using it? Uninstall it. Simple.
3. Get LastPass for your web browser, disable the built-in browser auto-fill. Use an Ad-Blocker.
4. Use an updated Antivirus. Don't use a pirate version as free versions are just as good.

With a clean system, you can avoid an overkill of security software. Less is more.

Check the Firewall is activated on your router (hardware firewall).

Antivirus + Windows Firewall
Updated web browser with LastPass
Throw in an on-demand scanner for your sanity

And whether you decide to use a virtual / sandbox environment or not, is your choice.

In addition to that, an imaging app or software and a cloud storage service for extensive and thorough backup plan always save the day in case of any unfortunate disaster.:)
