Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Update Live on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4

Gamers will get tweaks to maps and modes
Video game developer Infinity Ward and publisher Activision are announcing that they are launching an entirely new major update for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare on the PlayStation 4 from Sony, the Xbox One from Microsoft, and the PC.

The full list of tweaks made to the first-person shooter can be seen by clicking on the button at the end of this article.

The two companies are aiming to eliminate some of the bugs that the community has been noticing, linked to maps and scorestreaks, while also improving the overall general experience of playing the multiplayer side of the title.

The Exo Zombies mode in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is also getting some tweaks.

It's unclear when the fixes will be offered for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 versions of the experience.

Today gamers who still play the shooter can also get access to two new classic weapons from the series, the 1911 sidearm and the MP40 submachine gun.

This is probably the last major content drop that will be offered for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and it's unclear for how long the development team at Infinity Ward has plans to continue to deliver updates for it.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is the focus for Activision and the fan community
The new shooter is taking the action into 2065, introducing a single-player campaign that can be played cooperatively for the first time in the series and a focus on how the advance of technology can forever change the face of warfare.

For the all important multiplayer side of the game, Treyarch is putting more of an emphasis on the movement of characters, creating levels with more verticality and asking gamers to find ways to surprise enemies in order to take them out.

The undead-powered side of the shooter is called Shadows of Evil and takes place in a noir version of the '40s that features new weapons and bosses.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will be offered on November 6 on the PC, the Xbox One, and the PlayStation 4, and gamers can also pick up versions for older devices, although they will not have the core single-player campaign.
