Although I've used Adguard on Chrome, I've postponed installing it on our gecko based browsers as I'd thought it was still in beta. I shall look much closer into BluHell.:):)
Update: Do you know anything about ublock?o_O https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/µblock/cjpalhdlnbpafiamejdnhcphjbkeiagm I'd begun test blocking with it after reading positive comments here on MT, and shortly after discovering Adguard in a very similar way!
Yeah, I've used it the past month but decided to switch back to AdGuard. One thing I like with ublock is it doesn't slowed down my browsing unlike AdBlock Plus.

Added: ESET NOD 32 AV 7. (so far so good!) Special thanks @Arakasi.:)

I've read linux ubuntu is fast becoming the most widely used linux distro. making it a growing target.
My question: Does Avast Premier 2014 offer a compatible version for linux lubuntu?o_O

Avast offers some stripped down security suites for Linux, aimed at mail servers. There isn't any GUI nor is there any 'advanced protection' in the sense that you know it in Windows. These are aimed for business use though ;)

There is "Avast for Linux" which is the user friendly GUI version which offers a file based scanner, but no real time protection, although I'm not sure if this is still supported.

Windows 8.1 - Removed: UNetbootin portable as I've not needed it, but may someday recall it for some future lineup.;)

De-activated (automatically): Windows Defender whose protection was peerless (along with a little help from it's friends, Sandboxie & Shadow Defender!).:p

Added: Avast! Premiere. I like it! Thank you @King Mellow.:)

Windows 8.1 - Added: Ad-Aware Pro Anti-virus, set in compatibility mode as a secondary layer of protection alongside Avast! Premier. Thanks @Cowpipe for the tip,:) and to MT for the Giveaway!!;)

USB Flash drive - Added: Google Chrome x64 bit portable version, yet experiencing difficulties with non-functionality and freezing:mad: while using Sandboxie, & am considering UN-installing:confused: to re-install.o_O
Both Palemoon & Cyberfox, each gecko based x64 bit browsers, do not have this problem (although, in their cases phone calls using Google talk does not work on them ). Has anyone else had problems :oops:with Chrome 64 bit functionality?

Nice config Catz :) if you like linux you should give manjaro a try its based on arch and comes in a few flavours, light on your cpu too http://manjaro.org/ :D
Thank you! I am in complete agreement, Artaz.:):) In fact, (..maybe I didn't mention this) Manjaro Open Box happens to be among my favorite distros thus far! I'd like to hear which one is your favorite, if you have a favorite.:);)
Among our fellow members, there is one whom has garnered quite a bit of linux information (besides our Benevolent Dark Lord of the Sith, @Umbra Polaris ). I've recently added onto Virtual Box VM an open box-like spin of lubuntu called LXLE I'd learned ...through osmosis.. (Thanks, @illumination )!:D
There is yet one more which has caught my eye.o_O If you haven't seen @exterminator20 's thread about Netrunner 2014.09, here it is http://malwaretips.com/threads/netr...elease-is-a-beautiful-kde-based-distro.33917/

@Cats-4_Owners-2

Hope your having a good day catz :)

manjaro open box was the very first one i tired from them and loved for the simple fact of speed and how easy it was to install compared to just using the main arch OS. i do like the xfce version too and building the setup i want around that :)

iv seen the netrunner version of monjaro ,haven't had the chance to try yet ,will have to at some point

out of all the linux based OS's monjaro is my favorite :D

On both Windows 8.1 & 7
added
  • f.lux
..is a software that relieves eye strain through adjusting light based on time of day, and uses warming colors that really work! After using it one week, I decided to also place it on Windows 7. Thanks purshupro!:D

..and only on 7
  • Speed Dial FVD
Added this extension after it was mentioned by a friend. Thank you, illumination.:D It is a graphic alternative to book-marking, this with my wife in mind for she likes big, bright, and visible.
