Emsisoft Anti-Malware & Emsisoft Internet Security 9.0.0.4453 hotfix update.
How it could happen: On Sept 9th, 2014, our second scan engine provider Bitdefender released an update that changed the way files are read. That new method seems to be unable to read data correctly from network drives, causing a system wide freeze in many environments. The bug did not affect users who do not use network shares. The hotfix update prevents the described freezes.
