Thanks for your reply.I did as you said to no avail.I also reinstalled steam (I had issues with two games it needed to be done anyways) and it seemed to be fine UNTIL I reinstalled the game "beamngdrive"(I moved the games folder and replaced it after reinstall to avoid redownloading everything). Is it possible my game files are infected somehow?

Running it on another one may cause damage and render the system unstable.

Download attached fixlist.txt file and save it to the Desktop:

Both files, FRST and fixlist.txt have to be in the same location or the fix will not work!

  • Right-click on
    FRST.gif
    icon and select
    RunAsAdmin.jpg
Run as Administrator to start the tool.
(XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File).
  • Press the Fix button just once and wait.
  • If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
  • When finished FRST will generate a log on the Desktop, called Fixlog.txt.

Please attach it to your reply.

hello.I appreciate your help, however the fix did not work.I re ran the scan program and attached the logs,i also screenshotted what pops up whenever i use steam in case it is of any help. Also when this pops up i can not click anything else, the only thing that works is opening the task manager and force closing the task "steamwebhelper.exe".It temporarily stops the pop ups, then when the exe reopens the popups begin again, hope that is a bit of help to you, thanks again!

you seem to have become stumped yourself or forgot to answer me.However i managed to track down the problem myself and will provide the fix for anyone else ever coming across this issue.I traced everything running when steam was on and followed it back to users/appdata/local/steam/htmlcache and deleted everything inside the folder.Problem solved thanks for your help anyways twinheadedeagle.
for reference for anyone else my path was-
C:/users/yourpcname/appdata/steam/htmlcache
you must go into control panel to be able to view hidden folders to find appdata folder
