Don't really get what the issue is? Why can't you use tor? What does the notification say when you try to use tor?

You should go into K9 settings to change what you are blocking, there are a lot of different types of threats it can block like pornography, malware links, violence, etc. Understanding it and changing the settings would make your life a lot easier rather than requesting for a link every time you need to download something that K9 has blocked. :)

only other way to do it is reinstall windows get my passes and then reinstall my backup from my external hdd

Are you able to use another PC or mobile device?

Are you the primary (admin) user of the account using K9 software? Have you attempted a repair installation of K9, this may fix any modified settings and permissions.

Sometimes a mistake configuration should fix that problem, at its first time setup you may select only the categories you're willing to block any in related sites. FP's from the first place should not be observe immediately.

Seems very unlikely that K9 would be blocking an email client, definitely something very wrong with your K9 setup.

Why do you need Tor specifically to login to your email? If a normal browser doesn't work I don't think using tor will work, my point being the final web page is still going to be loaded into your computer and if K9 has a web filtering module, it will definitely catch that no matter how many encryptions or nodes that it passes through in the process.
