Lumia Cyan update availability: http://www.nokia.com/global/support/software-update/wp8-software-update/

For supported devices:

1. > Choose your region
2. > Browse to your Country
3. > Find your device and mobile operator
4. > Review current status for the Cyan update

Example for Lumia 520 in the UK:

If Lumia Cyan is "Available".

Make sure you have at least 1.5GB of free space. You can check by App List > Settings > Storage Check.
To perform the OTA update. App List > Settings > Phone Update.

Compatible Lumia devices:

Nokia Lumia 520, 520T, 521, 525, 526, 620, 625, 630, 630 Dual SIM, 635, 720, 720T, 810, 820, 822, 920, 920T, 925, 925T, 928, 930, Icon, 1020, 1320 and 1520.

WPCentral: O2 UK shares details on the Windows Phone 8.1 update, teases Visual Voicemail [EXCLUSIVE to O2 UK]

O2 is currently testing the update on a variety of mobile devices (as we know carriers do these days) and expect to have this stage of the process completed within the next few weeks. The Lumia Cyan update will be bundled with Windows Phone 8.1, so there'll be no need to wait for both updates.

You may have noticed we mentioned visual voicemail in the title, this is because the mobile operator has worked with Nokia and Microsoft to implement this highly demanded feature. This essentially negates the need to call voicemail as all messages are downloaded.

Microsoft looks set to launch the Cortana voice-activated assistant for Windows Phone 8.1 handsets in the UK towards the end of the year, according to mobile network O2, following a delay to its originally proposed UK launch.

Microsoft has been reluctant to put a firm release date on Cortana's UK release, but O2 hasn't been so shy. In an announcement regarding the Cyan software update, the company confirmed that Cortana will be available to UK Windows Phone 8.1 handsets in the fourth quarter of the year.

It is believed that the UK Cortana launch in Q4 will be available on all networks, although the visual voicemail functionality will be an O2 exclusive.
