Neowin : Minecraft for Android released for Xperia Play
Fans of the hit indie PC sandbox game Minecraft who also happen to own the Xperia Play smartphone from Sony can now download and play the first version of Minecraft Pocket Edition from the Android Marketplace. Priced at $6.99, the 1.6 MB download will only work on Xperia Play smartphones at the moment, but will be released for other Android 2.3 smartphones at a later date.
Much like the PC version of Minecraft, the Android port is being released in an early version with plans to update it with more features and content in the coming months.
