If you’re one of the millions of users of Mozilla Firefox, we’ve got some pretty exciting news for your, as the company behind the whole project has just rolled out a brand new stable build of the browser.

Firefox 31 comes with pretty much the best features ever rolled out by Mozilla and integrates a plethora of stability and performance improvements, which means that this particular version should provide the best experience of all browsers rolled out until now by the company.

In case you’ve already installed the previous betas and release candidates of Firefox 31, you shouldn’t notice any big differences, as Mozilla pretty much used the original builds as the foundation of this new stable build. This means that the majority of features available in the preview versions should also be part of Firefox 31 stable as well, regardless of the operating system that you are running.

Of course, we’re still waiting for an official changelog from Mozilla to learn what exactly is new in Firefox 31 stable, but this could take a few hours as the company has only now updated its FTP servers with the new builds for Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X.

In case you are wondering, and we’re very sure you do, the Australis interface is still there and will remain available for many years from now, as Mozilla says that it’s pretty much the best way to interact with its browser, no matter your computer knowledge.

In fact, Mozilla has always praised the Australis UI and said that it makes everything easier and faster once you install the new Firefox.

“Australis includes a set of visual improvements to streamline and unify the browser interface on desktop, as well as new features that make Firefox more efficient to use and easier to customize. In this post, I’m going to focus specifically on why browser tools are placed where they are and why we increased the prominence of Customization,” Mozilla said in a blog post published a few months ago.

There still are some methods to go back from Australis to the classic interface, and this includes some third-party themes and add-ons, so it shouldn’t be too difficult to do that in case you cannot get used to the new UI.

In the meantime, everyone should update to Firefox 31 as soon as possible, so click the download links below to get the version that’s working on your computer.

Hello everyone!

Firefox has never been so BAD (even though Australis is a visual improvement), you should prefer Pale Moon instead. Or even better, you should go for Opera :D

Hello everyone!

Now that Fires**ks 31 is out in Stable channel, we only have to wait for Pale Moon 31 to come out some day as well (31 is ESR, so logically, PM won't stay 24 for long ;P)

Add the search field to the new tab page
More money from Google for Mozilla. I think Google is the default searcher for the newtab page. How will it affect a users privacy? So many question in my mind??? Re-think to continue use Firefox. (I am not telling this to chrome users, if you are a Chrome user, have fun getting spied on ;) ) Google will know who searched things from Firefox, from now on. It means Google Chrome or Firefox are the same thing after this update (IMO) I know there are sponsored ad codes into new Firefox. Good bye Firefox..
Hahh.. Mozilla says "Most trusted internet company for privacy" I do not believe this anymore.

By the way thanks for the info Petrovic
