Considering Samsung has launched "exclusively", at this stage, the Samsung Z1 low end smart phone powered by Tizen, in India, at an affordable price, do you think Samsung is going carry Tizen over to mid and high range smart phones?
Tizen was also used in Samsungs NX series camera models along with Samsung Gear 2 watches.
Sure it will not surpass Android anytime soon, but Tizen does have some nice "features", since its an OS which is based on Linux Kernel and applies the Linux API:
*X Window System with Englightment Foundations Libraries (which were from Enlightment WM and Wayland Compositor); Support for Wayland and uses ZYpp as the package manager system (openSUSE uses it too)...
Would love to get my hands on a Z1 just to play around with it...
