Strange problem with Comodo Internet Security on an y500 laptop

After installing it on my laptop everything works except it won't shut down

What i mean by that is it will exit windows as usual, the screen will go turn off but the power won't shut off even if i let it be for 10+ minutes

Does anyone have any idea what that could be?

I'm using Windows 8.1

It works great on my Surface Pro 2 which is also running 8.1

If Windows does not stop to allow proper shutdown, the reasons are basically three:

-One of the processes or services does not stop.
-You installed a faulty device driver or incompatible.
-Use a defective or incompatible program on the computer.

Did you have another antivirus before was not uninstalled properly?
Or there is some incompatibilities.

Only Windows Defender for a while

The thing is, is does exit windows and i get no message about windows not shutting down properly when i start the pc again

Could it be something in the bios?

I don't think the BIOS.

If the problem started after you installed Comodo, I would try to uninstall it and restart your PC.

First, disable Defender Service

Yup, it solved it but i'd really like to get CIS to work on my laptop if possible
