These things were used recently in Australia during our recent bushfires,in which they helped firefighters acess damage and danger of going into a bushfire site from a unique aerial perspective!

Sounds like nuclear ground zero and radiation poisoning to me, and drones finishing off those who the nukes did not get; purely speculation on my part, as I am not a prophet.
Even if I am right, at least for now the drones seem to be a benefit. All good and useful technology can be corrupted by sinister men in high places though.
