Sandboxie (not necessary , you have your AVs, Rollback RX and Shadow Defender that negate any infections after a reboot)

Utilities/system tools
WinRAR (7zip do it better)

Cleanup/defrag
Revo Uninstaller (i prefer Iobit Uninstaller)

Office/dictionary/editing/viewing
PDF24 Creator
SumatraPDF
(both can be replaced by Nitro Reader, it can creste pdf too)

Virtual drivers
DAEMON Tools (i prefer Magic Disc)

I use many of your softs too.

Planning to uninstall SD because I don't use it that much. I like Sandboxie for the fact that I do not have to restart.

I like the WinRAR GUI better!

For some reason, I like Revo.

Nitro is commercial. Sumatra is light and PDF24 is pretty cool, too.

Planning to uninstall DT.

Thanks, man!

EDIT: Updated

Really nice set up. I use a lot of the same software.

Virtual drivers
Ever try Virtual CloneDrive? It's free and light on your system. Been using it for years. Prior to that I did use DAEMON Tools.

Question for you, how do you like Rollback RX? Would it be worth the buy?

Now when it comes to browsers I say their good, but if your on a 64-bit machine I would go for Waterfox instead. Much more smooth running.

I shall check it out. Uninstalling Daemon Tools right now!

Yes! Rollback RX is awesome, it has saved my life twice.

Although, I just had a super huge issue. Not Rollback RX's fault. Hitman Pro detected it as a bootkit and like a newb, I 'replaced' the MBR trying to 'fix it' and lost 6 days worth of computer days. I went back in a Time Machine! So, just keep that in mind.

I use Chrome mostly. I was the biggest Firefox fanboy but they started lagging behind IMHO.

Try Peazip for an alternative. Here is what I found about it http://geekytrix.com/Thread-Best-free-alternative-to-WinZIP-and-WinRAR-Peazip

That looks good, I'll replace WinRAR with that. Thanks! :)

No probs. Essentially WinRAR does not have .tar compression or anything. Peazip is awesome. Also take note of the no candy switch which I told in the article.

Fantastic, I might go download the trial and give it a spin :)

everything is pretty solid....you can use Freemake video converter for converting videos and Nitro PDF reader as a pdf reader it has lot of features too...Haozip instead of winrar, it supports lot of formats and has almost similar GUI of winrar....

With Nitro Reader (not Nitro Pro) you can read and create pdf for free.

Looks good

I like Winrar but use 7zip right now

I have used Revo Uninstaller Free and Pro Version but I recently decided to give Iobit Uninstaller a try and like it very much.I am still a Revo fan though

try to uninstall with iobit and revo the same program and you will find 20-30% more registry & leftover item in revo then iobit

Which one is better for W8 x64 Bits Peazip and/or 7 Zip? Also, does Waterfox 4 x64 Bits have add ons? And I thought that Opera is the most secure? Confuse! From the different posts on variouses topics? Many many thanks!
Straighten me out the above? Please!
