As the title says:
Ubuntu 14.04.2 has been released.
Refer to Launchpad for more info on bugs etc.
This also means that Kubuntu 14.04.2 LTS, Edubuntu 14.04.2 LTS, Xubuntu 14.04.2 LTS, Mythbuntu 14.04.2 LTS, Ubuntu GNOME 14.04.2 LTS, Lubuntu 14.04.2 LTS, Ubuntu Kylin 14.04.2 LTS, and Ubuntu Studio 14.04.2 LTS are also now available.
On the list, new Kernel will be updated, which is for 3.16, which if I am not mistaken is the 14.10 version of the Kernel.
Beware however when upgrading the xserver-xorg-lts-utopic package (via synaptic for example), as it will remove a hell of a lot of stuff in Kubuntu, at least up to 4 hours ago.
If you are experienced enough in Kubuntu and want to go ahead for the full update, just use Synaptic or any software manager that has an update feature.
Alternatively, via terminal, and this applies to any Ubuntu flavour:
