Disable UAC is a open door to block your pc with dangerous intruders like spyware, ramsoware and another virus. Be careful!

I am not a "happy clicker", and i always check the rares untrusted files i handle with VT/Jotti.
I keep it just disabled 'cause it's annoying and i didn't think it worth to be turn on :/

do you think i should set it on notify status?

Yes at the very least to default settings.Mine is on always notify
