why virus signature smaller after update ?!

i think they remove False Positive.

Emsisoft is too!
you see after update the virus signature will be smaller!
or may be they get similar name to 10(or more!) virus for same behaviour !

because when several signatures belong to one family , they generate a new unique signature recognizing all variant of the family.

like you have 10 different coins with value equal to 1 dollar and you fuse them into a single coin of 1 dollar

Bitdefender is just catching up with what other antivirus are doing. They remove redundant signatures that are no longer relevant periodically so that it saves your hard disk space.
