Hi everyone:

Using Windows 10 inbuilt email app for months, now I get this error message:

Error code: 0x85050041
we can't sync right now. but you may be able to find more information about this error code at www.windowsphone.com

Cannot find anything on the link, the net is full of the above Windows 10 error, but no answers to solve it. Can anyone help/info?

Tony :)

@Tony Cole If possible try to unlink/un sync your account and then try again and see if that resolves your issue. If that doesn't resolve the issue then you may as well wait and see if Microsoft provide more information about the error code and resolving the issue in the future as @Klipsh suggested :)

If you wish not to wait longer and see if Microsoft publishes anything about resolving the issues (& causes of the error message), you can try backing up your files and then reinstalling the OS (Windows 10 in this case).

Note that the issue may not be resolved after reinstalling of the OS, we can't know because we don't know the cause of the error message. If you have the time, it wouldn't do any harm as long as you remember to keep your data backed up for after the reinstallation.

You can learn more about reinstalling Windows 10 from recovery here: Refresh is part of reset in Windows 10 - Windows Help - (there is an option to reset the OS without it removing your files - its on the page linked above).

I've finally resolved the issue - Dr.Web 11, upon removal all connected, so now using Kaspersky as they've now (finally) released patch c.
