The email claims access has been temporarily restricted as a precaution. It then threatens suspension within 24 hours unless the recipient clicks “Secure My Account.” That combination of fear, relief, and a deadline is the core of the lure.
What the message claims happened
The notice presents the event as an active emergency. It may list a time, city, IP address, operating system, or browser. These details can be invented, copied from public information, or selected at random.
A specific-looking location does not prove that a login occurred. It only shows that the sender knows realistic security alerts often include location and device information.

In the campaign examined, the button opened a page hosted through cloud infrastructure and styled to resemble a Roundcube Webmail login. The recipient’s email address could appear prefilled, making the page feel like a personalized security checkpoint.
