The posts spread fast, because the real bags cost many times that.<\/p>\n<p>If you clicked one of these offers, or a Target reward page that looks just like it, here&#8217;s what is really behind the Target Bogg Bag deal.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/malwaretips.com\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/target-bogg-refresh-target-500-reward-lure-tarmero.png\" alt=\"Fake Target Special Promotion page on tarmero.com offering a 500 gift card reward with a claim pop-up, a viewer counter and a Get Started button\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n<h2>Overview<\/h2>\n<h3>What the Target Bogg Bag offer promises<\/h3>\n<p>The offer claims Target is clearing Bogg bags for about $10 after a short survey. Similar pages now promise $500 or $750 Target gift cards for the same few clicks.<\/p>\n<p>Neither offer comes from Target or Bogg. Both brands are being impersonated by lead-generation pages that earn money when visitors sign up for third-party deals.<\/p>\n<h3>How to tell it isn&#8217;t Target<\/h3>\n<p>Real Target deals live on target.com and in the Target app. These pages sit on throwaway domains such as tarmero.com and offertak.com, and their buttons lead to affiliate tracking links.<\/p>\n<p>They list no Target address, phone number or working terms page, and one admits in its own FAQ that Target doesn&#8217;t run it.<\/p>\n<h3>What the campaign looks like now<\/h3>\n<p>The 2025 Bogg survey domains no longer load. In their place, new Target-branded reward pages keep appearing, and a Bogg lookalike domain registered in October 2026 was suspended within days.<\/p>\n<p>Before you click a cheap Bogg or Target offer, check four things:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The domain in the address bar, not the logo on the page.<\/li>\n<li>Whether the same price appears on target.com or boggbag.com.<\/li>\n<li>Whether a &#8220;reward&#8221; requires you to complete other companies&#8217; deals.<\/li>\n<li>Whether the page asks for card details to cover shipping on a prize.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Bogg Bag Clearance at Target: What a Real Deal Looks Like<\/h2>\n<p>Target does sell genuine Bogg bags. Bogg&#8217;s croc-like totes arrived in about 1,900 Target stores in late 2024, and target.com now lists 20 results for a Bogg bag search.<\/p>\n<p>Bogg totes on target.com run from $45 on sale to $100, and the Original Bogg Bag shows its price only in the cart.<\/p>\n<p>Bogg&#8217;s own store runs at boggbag.com, a domain registered in 2008. Neither Bogg nor Target sells through survey pages.<\/p>\n<p>The brand belongs to Bogg Bag, Inc., which the BBB lists in Secaucus, New Jersey.<\/p>\n<p>A genuine Target markdown shows up in the app, on the shelf tag or on the product page.<\/p>\n<p>It never needs a survey, a countdown or a shipping fee paid on a separate site.<\/p>\n<p>Target&#8217;s listings include the Original, Bitty and Baby Bogg Bag, organizer pouches and seasonal prints such as a Halloween Boo! Bogg. Ratings run into the thousands on the main models.<\/p>\n<p>That gap explains the bait. A bag that normally costs $60 or more is believable at a discount, so $9.90 feels like a lucky find.<\/p>\n<h2>How the Target Bogg Bag Scam Works<\/h2>\n<h3>Step 1: A cheap Bogg bag in a social post<\/h3>\n<p>The 2025 wave used sponsored posts and short videos claiming Target was dumping Bogg bags for $9.90.<\/p>\n<p>Several YouTube videos now warn about the $10 Target Bogg Bag survey under that name.<\/p>\n<p>Meta&#8217;s Ad Library lists no current $9.90 Bogg clearance ads. The ads that mention a Bogg bag and Target are small-business giveaways that use the bag as a prize.<\/p>\n<p>Those giveaways ask you to like, tag and share. A giveaway that asks for card details to ship a prize is a different thing entirely.<\/p>\n<p>The story changed from post to post, but the price and the Target branding stayed the same. The link always led away from Target.<\/p>\n<h3>Step 2: A survey or reward page in Target red<\/h3>\n<p>The link opens a page styled with Target&#8217;s logo and colors. Today&#8217;s versions promise a $500 Target gift card in four steps.<\/p>\n<p>You click, enter basic info, complete the qualifying requirements and wait for the reward.<\/p>\n<p>The fine print says the gift card arrives only once a rewards balance reaches an amount set by the program. That amount is never stated.<\/p>\n<p>The page adds rules that make it feel official: one account per person, and no extra email addresses, devices or VPNs to get around limits.<\/p>\n<h3>Step 3: Counters and pop-ups that are made up<\/h3>\n<p>A pop-up announces that a named shopper just claimed $500 from a US city. The name changed between visits, from Skylar W. in Dallas to Mia G. in Seattle.<\/p>\n<p>The viewer count is scripted too. The page starts it at 648 plus a random number and nudges it up or down, never below 648 or above 834.<\/p>\n<p>A Trustpilot badge with a 4.5 rating sits under the button. It isn&#8217;t linked to any Trustpilot profile.<\/p>\n<p>The offertak.com version shows a smaller count, 37 people viewing now, under labels reading Verified, Secure and Official.<\/p>\n<h3>Step 4: Your details and a stack of other companies&#8217; deals<\/h3>\n<p>The real cost of the reward is spelled out on the offertak.com version. After your basic information, you must complete 4 to 5 recommended deals before anything arrives.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/malwaretips.com\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/target-bogg-refresh-target-gift-card-deals-lure-offertak.png\" alt=\"Target-branded reward page on offertak.com asking visitors to enter basic info and complete 4 to 5 recommended deals for a 500 gift card\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n<p>Deals on pages like these are usually trials, sign-ups and purchases from unrelated companies. Each deal can earn the affiliate a commission, whether or not a gift card ships.<\/p>\n<p>The offertak.com page says terms apply, but no terms page is linked. Its footer credits a Target Promo that doesn&#8217;t exist as a Target business.<\/p>\n<h3>Step 5: A small charge for shipping<\/h3>\n<p>Buyers of the 2025 Bogg version describe card details taken to cover a shipping fee of about $10.<\/p>\n<p>A card entered on a deal page can end up in a trial that renews as a paid plan, billed under a company name you have never heard of.<\/p>\n<p>That is why 2025 complaints describe a small first charge followed by larger ones. The bag was only ever the reason to hand over the card.<\/p>\n<p>The gift card version works the same way without a shipping fee. The deals themselves ask for the card, one sign-up at a time.<\/p>\n<h3>Step 6: The domain disappears and a new one appears<\/h3>\n<p>The domains named in 2025, wahajyu.info and laststepsurv.top, no longer load. The pages that replaced them were registered weeks or months before they turned up.<\/p>\n<p>Nothing about the funnel depended on those domains. Expect the next version to feature a different bag or retailer, with the same short survey in front of it.<\/p>\n<h2>Bogg Bag Scams Beyond the Survey: Fake Stores<\/h2>\n<p>The survey is only one route. Lookalike Bogg stores advertise deep discounts on the same bags and take payment directly.<\/p>\n<p>Our reports on <a href=\"https:\/\/malwaretips.com\/blogs\/boggbags-sale-shop\/\">Boggbags-sale.shop<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/malwaretips.com\/blogs\/bogguomoa-shop\/\">Bogguomoa.shop<\/a> cover two of them, with no verifiable company behind either store.<\/p>\n<p>The MalwareTips URL scanner gives boggbagch.shop, another lookalike, a safety score of 18 out of 100.<\/p>\n<p>Store names lean on the brand: bogg plus bag, sale, shop, promo or a country code. A domain that adds letters to the Bogg name isn&#8217;t Bogg.<\/p>\n<p>A lookalike store needs its own checkout, so the card goes straight to the fake shop.<\/p>\n<p>The survey and reward pages skip the store and send you to other companies&#8217; offers instead.<\/p>\n<p>Either way, the price is the tell. A Bogg bag for a fraction of Target&#8217;s sale prices comes from neither Bogg nor Target.<\/p>\n<p>Before buying a discounted Bogg bag from an unfamiliar site, look up the same model on boggbag.com or target.com.<\/p>\n<p>If it costs several times as much there, the cheap one isn&#8217;t real.<\/p>\n<h2>Who Is Behind the Target Bogg Bag Offers?<\/h2>\n<h3>Not Target, and not Bogg<\/h3>\n<p>Target warns that fraudsters use its brand in emails, texts, calls and fake websites to collect personal and payment information. Its <a href=\"https:\/\/security.target.com\/popular-fraud-tactics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">security and fraud page<\/a> describes these tactics.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/malwaretips.com\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/target-bogg-refresh-target-security-popular-fraud-tactics.png\" alt=\"Target Security and Fraud page titled Popular Fraud Tactics and Scams explaining phishing, vishing and smishing that use the Target brand\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n<p>The page also describes fake Target.com order emails that thank you for a purchase you never made.<\/p>\n<p>Those emails push you to call a number or click a link to cancel the order, which hands your details to the sender.<\/p>\n<p>The same page lists abuse@target.com for reporting suspicious messages. Bogg&#8217;s genuine store is <a href=\"https:\/\/boggbag.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">boggbag.com<\/a>, and nothing on these offer pages connects to it.<\/p>\n<h3>Short-lived lure domains<\/h3>\n<p>tarmero.com was registered on September 26, 2026, and megifty.com, another Target rewards page offering $750, on September 10, 2026. offertak.com dates from December 2025.<\/p>\n<p>A fourth page, on shopbox500.top, promised a $750 Target gift card in October 2026. Each one copies the same red card layout with a new domain.<\/p>\n<p>A Bogg lookalike, boggbagco.com, was registered on October 13, 2026 through Gransy, a Czech registrar. Its registrar already has it on client hold, which stops it from loading.<\/p>\n<p>Fake Bogg stores have come and gone before, as our <a href=\"https:\/\/malwaretips.com\/blogs\/bogg-bag-official-promo-com-scam\/\">Bogg-bag-official-promo.com report<\/a> shows.<\/p>\n<h3>Affiliate trackers instead of a store<\/h3>\n<p>The reward pages have no checkout of their own. Their buttons send visitors through trksy.org and linkthem.net, two affiliate tracking domains that route clicks to paid offers.<\/p>\n<p>Each link carries an offer ID and an affiliate ID, so every click is credited to a specific affiliate account. The two pages use different affiliate IDs on different networks.<\/p>\n<p>The same trackers appear in earlier reward lures we covered, including <a href=\"https:\/\/malwaretips.com\/blogs\/dealuno-online-exposed-fake-reward-or-real-read-this\/\">Dealuno.online<\/a> for trksy.org and <a href=\"https:\/\/malwaretips.com\/blogs\/flowall-net-exposed-fake-reward-or-real-read-this\/\">Flowall.net<\/a> for linkthem.net.<\/p>\n<h3>A disclaimer that contradicts the logo<\/h3>\n<p>The tarmero.com page shows the Target logo at the top and admits in its FAQ that Target doesn&#8217;t own or run it. Most visitors never open that answer.<\/p>\n<p>Calling itself part of the Target Affiliate Program borrows a real name for a different business.<\/p>\n<p>Target&#8217;s real affiliate partners earn commissions on purchases made at target.com. Work through the steps that match what you entered.<\/p>\n<p>None of them requires contacting Target or Bogg first, since neither handled the transaction.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>If you entered a card, call the issuer.<\/strong> Ask it to block future charges from the merchant names on your statement and to dispute any charge you didn&#8217;t agree to.<\/li>\n<li><strong>If you paid a lookalike Bogg store, dispute non-delivery.<\/strong> Wait for the promised delivery window, then ask your card issuer or PayPal to treat the order as not received.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Match each new charge to a deal.<\/strong> Offers bill under the advertiser&#8217;s own name, not Target or Bogg, so compare unfamiliar names with the deals you completed.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cancel trials you signed up for.<\/strong> Check your email for sign-up confirmations from the deals and cancel each one before its trial period ends.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Watch your statement for small charges.<\/strong> A small first charge is easy to miss among everyday purchases.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Expect more spam if you gave your email or phone number.<\/strong> Delete messages promising rewards, refunds or a shipped bag, and don&#8217;t reply to them.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Report the page.<\/strong> Send the link to abuse@target.com and file a report at <a href=\"https:\/\/reportfraud.ftc.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ReportFraud.ftc.gov<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Scan your device if a deal installed something.<\/strong> If an offer pushed an app, an extension or notification permissions, run the Malwarebytes scan below.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Is Your Device Infected?
