For an additional rootkit check, click the <strong>three dots<\/strong> on the <strong>Scanner<\/strong> tile, choose <strong>Advanced Scan<\/strong>, then <strong>Custom Scan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p>In the Custom Scan options, enable <strong>Scan for rootkits<\/strong> and select the entire <strong>C:\\<\/strong> system drive. Click <strong>Start Custom Scan<\/strong> when you have reviewed the remaining options. This option is unavailable on Windows ARM devices; do not change Windows security settings to make it appear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p>Run the Custom Scan if you selected it. Otherwise, return to the <strong>Dashboard<\/strong> and follow the Threat Scan steps below. You do not need rootkit scanning enabled to run a normal scan.<\/p><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><p class=\"mwt_quick_overview\">Start the Scan<\/p> <p>Click the blue <strong>Scan<\/strong> button. Allow it to finish. Click <strong>Quarantine<\/strong>.
