The capture above shows the offer itself.

It advertises a pool of 250,000,000 XAM and says allocations are already reserved on-chain. A closing date gives the visitor a reason to act promptly.

A card promises an eligibility check through Connect Wallet. Beneath that, the page claims the check involves no signing, no gas, and nothing leaving your wallet.

Those assurances are part of the offer, not proof of how a later request behaves. No wallet was connected during this investigation.

The real Xaman says it does not run airdrops

Xaman is a genuine self-custody wallet. Its official airdrop warning says the company does not issue tokens or operate these giveaways.

That directly contradicts a page presenting a Xaman-branded XAM allocation as though it comes from the wallet operator. The accusation concerns the impersonation, not the genuine app.

A copied logo, wallet vocabulary, or XRP Ledger badge cannot bridge that gap. The authority must come from the actual organization.

Connection, signing, and secret disclosure are different exposures

A public account address is not a secret that controls the account.

A payment or account-changing signature can have consequences beyond a website connection.

Handing over account secrets creates a separate, more serious control problem.

The captured page does not reveal the exact request after connection. Do not interpret its button as proof that connection alone automatically empties every wallet.

The Page’s Most Reassuring Sentence Deserves the Most Attention

The eligibility card says checking is read-only. That phrase lowers the perceived cost of trying: if nothing can leave, why not look?

A website can make that promise before another interface appears. The actual request in your wallet still needs to match the task you intended.

If an eligibility check becomes a payment, account-control change, or demand for a secret, the experience is no longer what the page advertised.

Do not let the earlier reassurance override the later request. Decline an action you cannot explain, even if a countdown says the allocation will disappear.

Also separate “on-chain” from “official.” A technical-sounding statement can be written on any page; it does not establish a verified allocation for your account.

Even a real incoming token or visible balance would need context. An entry existing on a public ledger does not authenticate the website promoting it.

How the Fake Xaman Airdrop Scam Works

Step 1: A familiar wallet name makes the reward feel relevant

The pitch targets people who recognize Xaman or hold assets in the surrounding ecosystem. It implies that using the wallet may have earned them a benefit.

That is different from a stranger asking for a new investment. The visitor is encouraged to believe the reward may already belong to them.

Copied branding supplies the connection the operator has not actually established. A logo can be reproduced without the real service’s permission.

Reach the genuine wallet through its established application or official site. A page’s own Help Center link cannot independently verify the page linking to it.

If the offer came from a friend, verify the campaign itself. A familiar person can forward something misleading without realizing it.

Step 2: The allocation figures make the opportunity look organized

The capture lists a total pool, an eligible-wallet count, an average allocation, and an amount supposedly remaining. The figures resemble a program dashboard.

The page also displays a percentage claimed and a progress bar. Together, they suggest other users have already participated and the remaining opportunity is shrinking.

But a displayed statistic is not an audited distribution record. The operator controls the numbers and the explanation beside them.

You should not need to hurry into account access because a webpage says others acted first. Independent confirmation should come before any wallet interaction.

The date shown in the capture describes that version of the offer. It does not establish a real deadline, and a later date would not authenticate it.

Step 3: Broad eligibility rules encourage almost everyone to continue

The card lists familiar activity, such as holding assets and making on-chain transactions. A visitor who has used a wallet may recognize themselves in those conditions.

That self-recognition can feel like a personalized invitation. In fact, a broad description can apply to many unrelated people.

The visitor is then asked to prove eligibility through the page’s chosen process. The promise and the verification method remain controlled by the same untrusted source.

Compare that with an independently announced program from a real project. A genuine ecosystem promotion needs its own verifiable issuer and terms.

It should not be accepted merely because another legitimate project has run a distribution before. Different programs do not share automatic approval.

Step 4: The connection button introduces a request that must be assessed separately

A wallet may open when a website requests an interaction. Seeing the genuine application does not authenticate the website that initiated the request.

Read the request itself. Identify whether it is a sign-in, payment, account-setting change, or something else supported by your wallet and ledger.

A sign-in request is not automatically the same as transferring funds. Conversely, a payment does not become harmless because the website calls it verification.

The specific post-connection payload was not tested here. The practical decision remains clear: this impersonating offer should not receive wallet access or approval.

Never enter Secret Numbers, a family seed, a mnemonic, or a private key into its form. A reward page has no legitimate need for account-control secrets.

Step 5: A missing reward can lead you back to the same operator

Someone who expects an allocation may keep trying when it fails to appear. That creates more chances to accept instructions they initially questioned.

Do not seek a replacement claim link from the promotion’s comments or unsolicited direct messages. Those routes can keep you inside the impersonation.

A later request for a release fee or recovery payment should be treated as a new risk, not a necessary final step.

Those follow-ups are possibilities, not actions observed in this capture. Preserve any actual messages you received rather than assuming every version follows an identical script.

Official support can help you understand an action without asking for your secret. Start from the real app, not a helper who contacts you first.

Read the Domain, the Brand, and the Wallet Request Separately

A brand inside a domain is still not the brand’s approval

The investigated address includes wallet and ledger wording. That can make it appear related during a quick glance at a social post or browser tab.

Do not infer affiliation from that resemblance. Use an independently established official channel and check whether it actually announces the supposed program.

A padlock or valid certificate establishes an encrypted connection to a domain. It does not establish who authorized the token offer.

A trusted app can display an untrusted request

The wallet is the tool through which you decide whether to authorize something. It is not a blanket recommendation of every third-party request reaching it.

A warning is a reason to stop, not a hurdle to overcome. Do not switch devices or wallets to get around a block.

If the action is unclear, cancel it. There is no need to sign first and ask support what the signature meant afterward.

Related reward scams are not this exact offer

MalwareTips separately covers the fake monthly XRP release promotion, including a 10% rewards pitch and different lookalike domains.

This page instead markets a named XAM pool and an eligibility check. The common impersonation tactic does not make their displayed offers identical.

That distinction helps when reporting. Keep the actual URL and promise you encountered rather than replacing them with details from another campaign.

What to Do If You Used the Fake XAM Claim Page

Stop the claim process. Leave the page, reject pending requests, and do not send funds to unlock an allocation or correct an error.

Save the address and offer screenshot. Record whether you viewed, connected, signed, disclosed a secret, or installed software, without writing the secret itself.

A reader who only saw the page should not assume completed theft. The action taken determines which controls need review.

Check the genuine wallet’s activity. Inspect actual transaction history and any pending requests through the app you normally use.

Record unfamiliar transaction identifiers, destinations, amounts, and times. Distinguish an outgoing transfer from a website message claiming a reward is pending.

If you cannot identify a request’s effect, ask established wallet support. Do not authorize another transaction to “check” the first one.

Match account protection to what was approved. A rejected request, a completed payment, and a change to signing authority have different consequences.

Use the official incident guidance and in-app support to assess the affected XRP Ledger account.

Do not apply an unrelated Ethereum allowance-revocation recipe automatically. Removing a website association is not proof that every ledger-level consequence has been reversed.

Treat disclosed account secrets as compromised. Changing an app passcode does not replace the secret another person may now possess.

Arrange protection through a clean, trusted environment. Official support can explain whether a fresh account or supported signing-control changes fit the actual situation.

Never move funds to a “safe wallet” supplied by a direct-message helper. You must retain control of the destination and understand any transaction you authorize.

Report real losses with precise records. Contact the appropriate police or cybercrime reporting body and any relevant exchange through independently verified support.

Provide transaction identifiers and the promotion’s address. A complete ledger trail is more useful than the website’s displayed allocation or supposed account balance.

Reporting does not guarantee recovery. Keep the case reference, and reject anyone promising a reversal in return for an upfront crypto payment.

Assess the browsing device only if the interaction exposed it. Unexpected downloads, installations, or remote-access requests require separate attention.

Malwarebytes can help detect malicious software on supported devices. It cannot reverse a confirmed ledger transfer or change a secret already disclosed.

AdGuard can filter some malicious ads and destinations. It does not validate token issuers or approve the contents of a wallet request for you.

Is Your Device Infected? Most infections start with a malicious ad or a fake download button — so blocking them at the source is your best defense.

We recommend AdGuard, which blocks malicious ads, phishing pages, and dangerous redirects before they can reach you.

👉 Download AdGuard and browse safely

Prepare a Useful Report Without Exposing More

Keep the original social post or message when available. The sender identity and the destination can help connect the promotion with what happened next.

Record the URL exactly, including its domain. Similar wallet-themed names may belong to different operators, and a misspelled address can lead investigators elsewhere.

Separate public account information from signing secrets. Support may need a transaction identifier, but a recovery phrase should never be included in a report.

If several accounts are displayed in your app, identify which one handled the request. Do not assume that the first visible balance was necessarily involved.

Note whether the wallet showed a warning and what you did afterward. This helps explain the sequence without recreating the potentially harmful action.

Keep the asset name and amount exactly as recorded. A claimed XAM allocation, an XRP payment, and a fiat estimate should not be combined into one figure.

If an exchange is involved, retain its own deposit or withdrawal reference alongside the ledger transaction. These records describe different stages and may help support match them.

Finally, keep later recovery offers with the same record. A second approach may use details of the first incident to sound unusually knowledgeable.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the 250 million XAM distribution official?

No. The captured offer conflicts with Xaman’s own statement that it does not issue tokens or run airdrops. Do not use its eligibility route.

Does this warning accuse the real Xaman app?

No. It concerns a page impersonating a genuine wallet. Use the established app and its official support instead of the imitation’s links.

Can connecting alone automatically drain every wallet?

That is not established here. A connection, transaction signature, account-control change, and disclosed secret are distinct events. Inspect what actually occurred.

Why is the read-only promise not enough?

The website supplies that promise. It cannot override the contents of a later wallet request or authenticate the operator making the claim.

Will changing my six-digit passcode fix an exposed secret?

No. Local app protection and the underlying account secret serve different purposes. Seek genuine support for account-level protection after secret disclosure.

Can a support agent reverse the payment for a fee?

Do not pay for a guaranteed reversal. Preserve evidence and contact legitimate support and authorities; a confirmed transaction is not undone by a recovery promise.

The Bottom Line

Do not use the fake Xaman airdrop page or authorize its claim requests. Its XAM giveaway contradicts the genuine wallet operator’s stated position.

If you already interacted, inspect the actual request and transaction record. Protect compromised signing access through trusted support, and do not pay another person to release the supposed reward.

The page says your XAM could already be waiting.
