Yes but not in terms of numbers... but in terms of percentage of the population.
Here in the Netherlands we have virtually 120% coverage and in terms of percentage per population we have nearly 100% (The few that do not are either kids or old/sick people) while in china only a fraction of their massive pop is online.
Don't worry, China will do this in near future same with India coz their GDP economy is boosting, the more money the more u spent on infrastructure.

You may not have understood, I mean that the U.S has plenty of GDP and our infrastructure, regardless of IT or other areas is absolute garbage. So, no, China very well may not do it.

It's going off opic, China is different from US.US borrow brains from india, france, europe & all over the world.US never thought china will stand against it as world second largest & growing economy & rising military power 10-15 yrs ago, didn't? China can do whatever they want, don't underestimate them.

It's been off topic for some time now, lol. No one is talking about who gets their brains from where. We were discussing the assumption that a country would use its massive GDP to update infrastructure. Of course China can do what it wants, it's very good at that so nobody is underestimating them or saying they can't. *reeling this one back in to to get back to "3.2 billion being online by the end of this year".
