Is it possible to access the BIOS or function keys during boot on a touch-screen laptop without using the keyboard? Are there any tricks?
On most touch-screen laptops, accessing the BIOS or function keys during boot without using the keyboard can be a bit tricky. Here are a few possible workarounds you can try:

1. Swipe from the right edge of the screen: On some touch-screen laptops, swiping from the right edge of the screen to the left may bring up the Charms menu, where you can find the Power options and choose to restart your device into the BIOS or UEFI settings.

2. Access the Advanced Startup Options: On Windows you can access the Advanced Startup Options by long-pressing or tapping the power button on the login screen. From there, you can navigate to the BIOS or UEFI settings.

3. Use the Windows "Settings" menu: If you're already logged into Windows, you can access the UEFI settings via the "Settings" menu. Open the Start menu, click on the "Settings" icon (the gear-like symbol), select "Update & Security," and then "Recovery." Under the "Advanced startup" section, click on "Restart now" and proceed to the UEFI settings.

4. Use external hardware: If none of the above methods work, you may need to connect an external USB or Bluetooth keyboard temporarily to access the BIOS or function keys during boot.

It's worth noting that these methods may not work on all touch-screen laptops, as different manufacturers may have implemented different methods for accessing the BIOS or UEFI settings. Therefore, it's recommended to consult the user manual or support documentation specific to your laptop model to find the appropriate method.

I disabled the keyboard because of issues, but the touch screen is working fine. The problem was accessing the BIOS or using a bootable USB with the keyboard disabled. I found the solution in the laptop’s user guide. (The left side of the laptop has a Windows and volume button.)
For tablets without keyboards:
Turn on or restart the tablet, and then quickly hold down the volume down button; then select f9.
- or -
Turn on or restart the tablet, and then quickly hold down the Windows button; then select f9.

The steps I mentioned earlier didn't work. It's possible that the buttons don't work because they're broken or because Windows 11 doesn't support them. The computer used to have Windows 10. However, I figured out that the keyboard does work when I try to enter BIOS, even though I disabled it. This might be because the OS starts after the manufacturer's screen, which is why the keyboard doesn't work on the login screen.

This laptop has an on-screen keyboard for accessing BIOS features. It also has physical buttons for entering the BIOS or boot options screen. However, these physical buttons are not working, and I have not yet attempted to troubleshoot the issue. In normal mode, I can use the F1 key to enter the BIOS. After entering the BIOS, I can convert or bend the laptop into tablet mode to access BIOS features.

I had disabled the keyboard because some keys weren't working. However, I re-enabled it after installing the Windows October patch, and it seemed to fix the issues. So, I updated here to let you know. Unfortunately, it seems like it's actually a hardware issue because the problems have returned.

@BryanB and @Ultimate Vision, I have tried the suggested fixes and other solutions.
