any CHKDSK / Scandisk free alternative available??

Wow.... so many... thanx guys...

BTW, can we use SeaTools with other brands hdd like WD, or its only for Seagate??

i found another alternative, EaseUS Partition Master Free Edition, it has surface scan, click on the drive, and "Check Partition" option

It is the best CHKDSK program that I have tried, fast and will find errors that others will miss.
