Snow drenches Neuschwanstein Palace in Germany, the architectural masterpiece that inspired the Disney World logo in the 1980s.
The palace's designs are fueled by ancient legends, and have become an icon in Disney films such as "Sleeping Belle" at Disneyland, which opened in 1955.
Its construction was completed in 1886 by the engineer Christian Jank by order of King Ludwig II (1845-1886) of Bavaria, the son of King Maximilian II.
The palace is located on top of a plateau in the Allgäu Mountains in the Schwangau region of the southern German state of Bavaria.
