The New Bitdefender 2017 Available for Download!
Bitdefender has released its 2017 product (Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2017, Bitdefender Internet Security 2017, Bitdefender Total Security Multi-Device 2017, Bitdefender Family Pack 2017 and Bitdefender Mobile Security 2017).

What's new in Bitdefender 2017?

Improved product Usability (windows)
  • The new user interface greatly improves product usability. It offers 2-click access to most of the product modules and up-to-date information about threats being blocked on the device.
  • The front-end framework has been completely redone for improved responsiveness and performance.
  • Features like Safepay include significant improvements that create a more natural browser-like interaction with the user.

PROTECTION
  • Complete Data - Protection Absolute power in the most efficient antivirus available today. Bitdefender works against all threats, from viruses, worms and Trojans, to ransomware, zero-day exploits, rootkits and spyware. Your data and your privacy are in good hands.
  • Active Threat Control - We use an innovative technique called behavioral detection to closely monitor your active apps. When Bitdefender detects anything suspicious, it takes instant action.
  • Ransomware Protection for YOUR important files - Keep your work documents, vacation pictures and videos safe from any malware that could steal, delete or encrypt your important files. By protecting them with Ransomware Protection, we will make sure that no unknown application gains access to them without your consent.
  • Rescue Mode - Some sophisticated viruses, like rootkits, need to be removed before Windows starts. When Bitdefender detects such threats, it reboots the computer in Rescue mode for cleanup and restoration.
  • Powerful Anti-phishing - Bitdefender sniffs and blocks websites that masquerade as trustworthy in order to steal financial data such as passwords or credit card numbers.
  • Sensitive Anti-fraud - Our advanced filtering system warns you whenever you visit websites that may try to scam you, such as casinos, porn sites, money loan schemes and others.
  • Secure Browsing - Find out whether your search results are safe to access before you actually click on a link. Bitdefender also blocks known infected links.
  • Vulnerability Scanner - With a single click, the vulnerability scanner automatically warns of outdated and vulnerable software, missing Windows security patches, and potentially unsafe system settings. It also analyzes the security of your currently connected Wi-Fi network and warns where there is a vulnerability risk.

Wow, I was a long time Bitdefender user and this looks tempting.
I am always impressed each year with BD's improvements this year
looks to be no exception. I would almost go back to a sig based AV
for this one :)
Awesome share Dima007

I was testing the beta but switched to Emsi 12 beta since I got curious about Emsi's emprovements.
I was planning to test it again as soon as Emsi 12 stable gets released, probably next week.;)

@Solarquest I want to see improvements in this year's version of Bitdefender but anyway, great job with Emsisoft 12 Beta bro since no Internet Security will beat Behavioral Blocker of Emsisoft ever :D

Just finished installing Bitdefender Internet Security 2017 here. I really like it. It looks like its very light now. I really like the new GUI. I am always a fun of dark-themed UI.

How long does a signature update take?
In the beta it took foreeeever....
Is the ransom protection activated on default?
I'll install it tonight.;)

The BitDefender Internet Security 2017 is a bit slow at the startup of Windows, but after that the surfing goes pretty smooth...The update process went pretty well too...The new interface looks nice...I had the chance to test the program and it showed good detection and it took care of the infected files really well...:) I did not have any problems activating my license...:D

@Solarquest

1) Is the ransom protection activated on default?
No :(
2) How long does a signature update take?
My first update took about 7 minutes.
3) Slowdown on startup?
Not to bad on a ssd, all antivirus programs slowdown the startup unfortunately. Don't know how the bitdefender startup slowdown is compared to other av solutions.

Does anyone else have problems with disk and start optimizer? :p

At startup BitDefender is heavier than most, to be fair...But the update process went without problems for me...No more than a minute...:)

I actually founds BD is pretty light atm in usage(note i just started using now and will be sure in a few days). Sure it uses a lot of ram(250MB) and 0-1% cpu(i7) but i don't notice any slowdown when i open applications or browse. Only thing that launches slow is the BD used interface gui when you open from taskbar.
