Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is at the moment facing a problem because its pre-orders are currently under the level set by previous titles in the series, like Ghosts, and that might be the reason why the development team is delivering more details about the features which will be part of the multiplayer modes.

Michael Condrey, one of the co-leaders of the Sledgehammer Games team, claims on his official Twitter account that on launch players will be able to play on 13 maps and the Atlas Gorge area that’s only offered to those who pick up the Collector’s Edition or buy the Season Pass.

The developer is not explaining how many other maps will be offered over the lifetime of the shooter experience.

The concept behind the League Play in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will return in the new title and will be called Seasons, allowing players to compete with other hardcore players for 30-day periods.

Condrey adds, “The good news is now you'll get a special piece of loot gear to wear for the next month based on your season performance.”

All the items that gamers get from the new Supply Drop concept will stick with them as they move through Prestige levels, but the core weapon or piece of equipment linked to it will need to be unlocked again.
Big changes to multiplayer in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare aims to completely transform the multiplayer experience by introducing a new exo-skeleton system that gamers can use.

The new maps are designed to allow for more vertical gameplay and there are new options to dodge incoming fire and to deliver more powerful melee attacks.

Each exo-skeleton can be customized with a series of abilities, unlocked through gameplay, and that allows players to enhance their play style.

There are 12 included game modes, two of them entirely new, named Momentum and Uplink, but it’s unclear if all of them are playable on the 13 new maps.

The shooter will also include a cooperative mode based around waves of enemies.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will be launched on November 4 on the PC, the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One and last-gen consoles, and a Day Zero Edition is also available.

Some analysts say that the title will sell worse than Ghosts and that it might be the beginning of a long-term decline for the entire franchise.
