Video game developer Sledgehammer Games and publisher Activision are ready to reveal one of the new maps that will be included in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, called Recovery, which will allow gamers to battle around a volcano that at one point becomes active.

- Action time

The first look comes courtesy of IGN and the commentary is offered by Gerg Residorf, the lead multiplayer designer for the first-person shooter, who explains that initially the map features plenty of locations suited to close quarters combat, with submachine guns the weapon of choice.

When the volcano on Recovery erupts in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, gamers need to deal with poisonous fumes and continue to battle each other as they also try to evacuate through a special area.

The map changes and long-sight lines open up, making rifles a better choice.

Of course, gamers can use the extensive customization options in order to create a loadout that is suited to their own play style.

The new title will have 12 multiplayer modes, including two entirely new ones called Uplink and Momentum.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will be out on November 4 on the PC, the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4 and last-gen consoles, with a Day Zero Edition also available for hardcore fans.
