Gamers will get maps from the World at War title
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 aims to be the biggest video game and maybe even entertainment launch of the year, and in order to boost its numbers, the development team at Treyarch and publisher Activision are announcing that they are partnering with fast-food chain Carls Jr. in order to launch a special promotion.

A new commercial promoting the venture features the core mechanics of the shooter, a well-meaning employee of the burger joint, and supermodel Charlotte McKinney, and explains that gamers will be able to get a special care package that allows them to get a shot at some prizes.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 promotion with Carls Jr. allows fans to win a copy of the title, the Take Out weapon camo, a full Take Out personalization pack, star, friend and pickled reticles, a Take Out calling card, and other gears associated with the game.

All those who take part will also be entered into a sweepstakes that will allow them to win a trip to the headquarters of developer Treyarch, where they will meet with the team that created the shooter and get some details about the process that led to its launch.

Promotions that link major video game properties with real-world products can be affected by problems, like the recent one that features Pepsi and The Taken King expansion for Destiny, but can also boost sales for both involved entities.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will have an extensive Season Pass
Neither Activision nor Treyarch has talked about the downloadable content that they are planning to launch for the shooter so far, but it seems that it will include remade maps taken from both the World at War title and the Black Ops series.

The four DLC packs that are being prepared will probably start arriving early in 2016 and will focus on new environment while also adding new undead-driven episodes and more weapons.

An official announcement on the Xbox One site explains that gamers who get a Season Pass can get access to The Giant on launch day.

The description states, "Set in a World War II-era research facility featuring the weapon-upgrading Pack-a-Punch Machine, re-live the chaos of Treyarch's classic 'Der Riese' Zombies map, picking up the Zombies story with Dempsey, Nikolai, Richtofen, and Takeo where Origins left off."

This year gamers who own a PlayStation 4 will get access to all the DLC launched for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 one month before the rest of the community, after Activision and Sony entered a new long-term deal.

The shooter aims to become a staple of the eSports space after launch, and all the action will happen on Sony hardware.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will be out on Friday, November 6, with gamers encouraged to pick it up on the PC, the PlayStation 4 from Sony and the Xbox One from Microsoft.

Versions for older home consoles are also offered, but they are not getting the single-player campaign and will not get access to a wide range of post-launch content.
