Avira should remove the bloat from their package.
Instead consider user opinion, features they are expecting.
Be competent with time and competitors.
Last but not least, Luke file Walker should be removed, Behavior blocker/Hips should be added
Re design and overhaul the entire U.I

Avira gives good results in independent tests, but I refuse to install all that in my computer... I remember that before it was light, it's a pity because it's a good AV badly managed, equally maybe there will be people who "fall" thinking they have all those "good" things.

I installed it for testing purpose yesterday via the offline installer and it installed just the free antivirus, nothing else. But what you're showing here is scary

Unfortunately, this was not offered on the Free Antivirus web page. Take a look.
He installed the Avira Free Security Suite, not Avira Free Antivirus (misleading title).

And yes they entirely different, the Avira Free Antivirus doesn't include that much bloat.

https://www.avira.com/en/downloads
Avira is at fault for misleading their users. The title is correct because as you can see, the download button does not the standalone package.

I am using Avira for a long time (on my Win and Mac) but the huge problem of Avira is not the Antivirus and the quality of their software, it provides you with a great security. The problem is their marketing. They really need to reconsider their marketing team who do not know what to do!

Going back to history:
First Avira AntiVir, then Antivirus Plus, then Antivirus Pro then they added a horrible launcher with so many of bloat software and finally to make everything perfect they added Opera to the pack.

I mean they have a great antivirus but they dont know what to do with it!!!!

from this description it looks like Avira has become a big package that not everyone wants to use.
has become one big mess.
I don't understand why they made her a marketing package.

There is a new AVIRA interface available and while it has sections for optimizers and whatnot, when you uninstall those components manually, the menus are there, but not much else gets in the way or annoys you. Have been running new AVIRA Free for few days and it's not really annoying. It just sits there and works in the background.

They eradicated the moronic launcher thing and the interface now more resembles avast! or AVG looks than any AVIRA from before. They still haven't done anything to ancient settings panel, Luke Filewalker is still the same and malware detection popup is still straight out of Windows XP. But the main interface does look and feel quite nice.

I've posted some screenshots and opinions on it here:
