Initially I didn't think it was an issue, but since all these began popping up at the same time I believe there may be some virus or something else causing this.

I uploaded the files for both drives. The C drive is my bootdrive and has some essential programs. The G drive has other nonessential programs and files

Reinstall didn't do anything. After each restart, chrome works well for some time then it will not load sites. when I close the program then it will not start. I then try to access control panel from my start menu (classic shell) and the start menu will not respond. I just dont know what to do

Download attached fixlist.txt file and save it to the Desktop:

Both files, FRST and fixlist.txt have to be in the same location or the fix will not work!

  • Right-click on
    FRST.gif
    icon and select
    RunAsAdmin.jpg
Run as Administrator to start the tool.
(XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File).
  • Press the Fix button just once and wait.
  • If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
  • When finishes FRST will generate a log on the Desktop, called Fixlog.txt.

Please attach it to your reply.

So I kept an eye on my computer. Chrome seemed to be working for the past few weeks, however just yesterday it stopped responding when I visited a forum (for world of warships). I had to force close the program and the same issue started occurring again.

So I just did that and the issue remains the same. I feel like something worked and then when chrome stopped responding it "broke" again.

Google chrome and a program called classic shell (which adds a start bar for windows 8.1). When chrome does not work, classic shell crashes any time i click on the control panel button. Both start working after I restart the computer.
