Hey! This was a trick question.:p:D *laughing*

Chrome, and most other Webkit x86 version browsers on our Window 8.1 (including Opera Next) respond like exotic sports cars, imho.:) This is because they use more more gas (resources) yet even as they (seemingly) browse amazingly quick, they crash harder into walls, although I can neither get the latest 64 bit Chrome nor the x86 Chromium portable even started:mad: inside of Sandboxie yet (for some reason..).

Firefox is very smooth (specifically on our Windows 7),;) though it stalls on our Windows 8.1, hence the portable stable Cyberfox/Palemoon x64 version browsers which fill my 64 bit speed vacuum:cool: even as they perform like reliable hybrids. Everything works except for phone calls on Google!o_O:(

I liked that I was able to change my vote (twice!) and though I'm glad I can fall back on Chrome when I want simplicity, the pure functionality in Firefox along with the speed of Cyberfox/Palemoon brought my vote back to Firefox/Gecko based browsers with, for now, the best of both worlds (for our unique systems) that, and I read "John F. Fantasy's" post!!:D

Speed isn't everything on the internet, but I like the convenience of Firefox.(Add-ons) Firefox until I die. LOL

Why does it matter which web browser you use?

Try each and decide for yourself, although I would steer clear from Chromium clones (excluding Chrome). 360 Browser uses Webkit and Trident engine?

Chrome uses Blink engine, as does Opera. -- Based on Webkit?

This question would be better answered on your own rig as suggested above. No ones system is exactly the same, it depends on your hardware, and your operating system, how you have the browser set up, and what extensions you run with it, to determine which would be the lightest/fastest for you.
