Besides the auto-sandbox settings, which I read it was going to be turn into a simple ON/OFF setting. Does upgrading reset your Firewall and/or Hips?

Hello everyone!

I tried Comodo 7 some time ago, it was causing trouble to Opera (opera.exe frozen, high CPU activity on process, and on). Since they weren't able to reproduce the issue, I guess this eighth release doesn't have some fix about it :/

Let's hope some other Opera users won't have the same issue, and that everyone will enjoy this new Comodo version!

Hi Guys- last month I discovered a fairly critical issue with the Comodo 8 sandbox. A file was constructed that would spawn a payload daughter which would then enumerate all files in the directory where the parent malware resides and would then delete all of these files. Note that these actions occurred even though both the parent and daughter were contained in the Sandbox (with Comodo 8, Full V is the default setting).

Please note that Comodo 7 at Full V (as well as the Qihoo sandbox and Sandboxie) is immune to this. Although I had reported this twice on the beta forum, it was apparently disregard as inconsequential. It is not- the malicious process could just as easily be recoded to list and delete files from Documents.

It is a disappointment that this flaw has made it through to the current released version, and until it is fixed I can't recommend that anyone switch to Comodo 8.

It just shows how crap Comodo truly is! I wonder what the Comodo forum members would make of the above video???
