Do you wish more companies had mascots?

Personally, I wish more software companies had mascots, like ESET has their robot and Bullguard has their bulldog. Instead of designing their own mascots, most of the other companies rely on logos and fonts to make themselves recognizable. What do you think?

Ha! Good thread.

I don't like that product that much, but I do like the Privacy Badger mascot.

Mascot don't make a program, have it or not doesn't change anything;)

No way.

One of the best AVs for detection available is Kaspersky (there may be other problems with it..). But for detection, it's one of the best.

Good Mascot:

One of the worst AVs is Webroot. They have no mascot.

Webrot's (SIC) Green Kool-Aid Man is only an unofficial mascot.

So..... That pretty well proves it.

From now on, no software without a good mascot goes on my machines.

I expect AV-Comparatives to start mascot assessment soon.

The End.

If you put a turtle and you say it's fast, you will not believe it if you see a cheetah, and they say it's fast, maybe you'll install it.:giggle:

Which leads to the security product mascot quiz question.

What online security product did in-fact use a cheetah as an advertising symbol?

Here is a cut-out screenshot:

==================

And what distinct and separate online security product uses this image of a cheetah?

I remember that I was using the panda illustration icon for a while.

With many characters reminiscent of strength and protection, I thought that the idea of a panda was novel.

Ah yes, Panda.

They've used several panda images in their marketing. But the above-posted image seems to be the current official one.
