Adding to the pile of leaks, the download link for Microsoft Edge just went live. Unfortunately, the browser is currently available just for Microsoft Employees and the Azure premium customers.
via Chromium-based Microsoft Edge download link is now live, but with a catch - MSPoweruser

Download: https://msedgesetup.azureedge.net/latest/MicrosoftEdgeSetup.exe

From comments section:
Try Powershell: MicrosoftEdgeSetup.exe /install "appguid={65C35B14-6C1D-4122-AC46-7148CC9D6497}"

RE Chromium-based Microsoft Edge is incorrect it is Blink-V8 based Edge

Edge browser will use Google's Blink rendering and V8 javascipt engine which is used by Chrome. Edge is not Chromium based, it replaces Chromium (although Edge will probably re-use a lot of Chromium code). When dge will have its own extension website, this might be good news to for people using Chrome Adblockers which will be cripppled in functionality when Google implements Manifest V3 (so my guess might not be far off Chrome - Chrome Extension Manifest V3 May Break uBlock Origin Content Blocker )

I hope this new Edge browser ,isn"t one step foreward and two back ,just really started using Edge as my default, because Chrome ,seemed just way better, but after many post about windows 10 built in security working {not sure about this} thru Edge,I have used it maybe 70% of the time, and if they ever sync pictures from my wifes phone like Chrome does,I might not use Chrome at all. Also use Firefox for Wifes show "Then calls the Heart" because Chrome lost the ability to full screen these episodes, and she has windows7 no Edge on her computer

If Microsoft make Chromium Edge open source, they could make something honestly magnificent, transparent and very community spirited. Or... they could make another closed source Chromium browser which is behind on Chromium updates. I guess time will tell.

Imagine them making the edge using EdgeHTML open source, we could have something much better than chromium:emoji_thinking:

The new edge probably will be part of march/april major update,

I read somewhere it won't rely on Windows Updates to update, but instead update like a normal app / browser.
