Electric Cars or EV's ( electric vehicles ) is trending more and more and you might even tested one or one of the socalled Hybrid models. The videos shows just a few examples of many. Tesla is well known for many and General Motors hope to release 2019 a modified Chevy Bolt without a steering wheel or pedals.

The pricerange is still pretty high but it's getting lower and in Sweden the government has decided to introduce a new car tax system this year called Bonus Malus that will give buyers a of EV's a discount of up to 7k USD. On the other hand it gets more expensive buying a non EV. The new tax system does not affect older cars.

It's alot of pros and cons to consider and also the infrastructure needs a remake with for example more charge stations available and things do happens in many cities in my country and even more in Norway but there's still alot to do. The time it takes to charge and how long the car runs can alone and will many times be a dealbreaker but it's not only the governments responsibility but also the car industry creating less bulky options and solutions that works easy for anyone and last longer.

Another interesting part is the secondhand market on EV's as not everyone can afford a brand new car either it's a EV or not. Curious what will happen with all those old battery packs and how long will the actual life span be and if you need to buy a new one, could you and how much would that perhaps cost etc.

It may be environmentally friendly, but using it under the same conditions is more expensive than cars other than EV.
In some countries, I heard that relatively many people are repairing their cars.
I am interested in how they face EV vehicles.
Regarding repair, non EV cars are advantageous overwhelmingly. EV cars are not "repair" but "exchange" in general.

The "immense" rise in sales of high-emission sports utility vehicles means they now outsell electric cars in the UK by 37 to one, research has found. As a result, overall exhaust emissions from new cars have been increasing, not declining, for the past three years, says the UK Energy Research Centre.
