Looking forward to it. It will be interesting to see what they have put together for us.

To fix some of the isolated issues all that may be required is a minor version update.

ESET Endpoint Antivirus has been out for a while, definitely not something new, but we shall see how it's adopted for their consumer software - GUI-wise.

More interested of new technologies / security features that they will introduce.

I do hope they can improve their "HIPS" module with some basic "ruleset" for the novice users out there;)
Otherwise, I am excited to see it in action!:)

Welcome to the ESET Smart Security Version 9 and ESET NOD32 Antivirus 9 BETA testing.

What's new in BETA?

Banking & Payment Protection (available only in ESS)
This feature automatically detects when customers are using online banking sites or online payment gateways and provides them a protected browser to ensure all online financial transactions are process in trusted and secure environment.

Support for Network signatures (available only in ESS)
Network Signatures allow fast identification and blocking malicious traffic coming to and from users devices related to bots and exploit packs. This feature can be considered as Botnet Protection v2.0.

Redesigned user interface
User interface in version 9 has been significantly redesigned and simplified based on the results of usability testing, all wordings and notifications has been carefully reviewed and interface now provides support for right to left languages as Hebrew and Arabic and contains online help which can be dynamically updated.

For the seamless operation of ESET Smart Security, the system should meet the following hardware and software requirements:

  • Processors Supported: Intel® or AMD x86-x64
  • Operating Systems: Microsoft® Windows® 10(build 10074 only)/8.1/8/7/Vista/XP SP3+ 32-bit/XP SP2+ 64-bit
Known Issues

We know and respect that you may experience some troubles during the process of testing. We feel very sorry about any inconvenience. On the other hand, do not leave it for yourself. We want to know about any inconvenience, you might experience. The more information you provide us, the better. It is absolutely ok if you can attach a screenshot as well.

You may find the issues that we already know about on the left side in the "Known Issues" menu section.
