Firefox 67 by default blocks all media with the sound that plays automatically, to let the user block video content including Audio, Mozilla added a new setting “Block Audio and Video” to Autoplay Settings in Firefox 69.
To stop websites from playing media automatically with Video and Audio in Firefox
  1. Ensure you’re using Firefox Nightly 69
  2. Click on Firefox menu > Options > Privacy and Security > Permissions
  3. Click Settings for Autoplay > Choose “Block Audio and Video” as the setting “Default for all websites”

Yes, its a feature that should've been there when HTML5 was pushed into mainstream. The feature to choose to even load media automatically or not should've been there in the 1st place. But no, they must shove their "improved experience" to everyone and waste the devices' resources.
