It doesn't matter whether Chrome or Firefox is more widely used, as long as IE8 continues to be the newest Internet Explorer available for Windows XP.

IE8 is a slow, unstable, buggy, annoying mess of a browser.
I don't use it, not even on other computers, unless it's the only thing they've got installed.

For some users they would not complain as long they have the browser used for surfing. Also IE8 have a low score even in the test like HTML 5 and others.

Laughing out loud. XP is becoming a non-issue as computers get replaced and all new ones come with either some Linux distro or Windows 7. Just look at the Steam hardware survey. XP is at 17% . The rest are Windows 7 and Vista installs. On those platforms, MS is pushing IE9 through windows update.
