MetaDefender is offering several great tools to keep your PC secure. They are for free, non-commercial use only. They include a robust offering that is similar to Endpoint scanning and remediation.

Others include a Suspicious Email Attachment Analyzer, A scanner to detect application vulnerabilities and provide recommendations for system hardening and much more.

There is also a Google Chrome Extension.

Among the few downloadable tools, I've used the Cloud and Client and can say that its a good multi-dimensional inspection tool.
However, the scan engines from FilsecLab, Zillya and ByteHero generate terrible FPs a lot of times, wrt to 3rd party and system files both.

Yet, for the understanding ones, this can be helpful to scan/inspect the memory, system files and IP connections in short amount of time.

Yeah, false positives are the price you pay for the multiengine scanners.
Thanks @Parsh for the heads up ;)

Definitely! Just that the average user has to be careful when dealing with the not-so-adopted engines like FilsecLab and Bytehero (these are not shared by VT). Them flagging different system files is common and the detection names, hilarious sometimes ;)
