The development team at Rockstar and publisher Take Two might be one week away from the actual release of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of Grand Theft Auto V, and the two companies are delivering a launch trailer that's designed to re-introduce the title and show off some of its core features.

There's nothing entirely new to see in the footage included in the new video, but the complexity of the open world series is on full display here and gamers who have not yet played the game can get a sense of how much variety it can offer.

The core story of GTA V is focused on three characters: Michael, Trevor and Franklin, each with his own motivation and view of life.

Gamers will have to control each of them in turns in order to take on a variety of missions, most of them dealing with highly illegal activities.

GTA V is an open world title that offers complete freedom when it comes to exploring the city of Los Santos, which is designed to capture the atmosphere of the real world Los Angeles and its surroundings.

The title is set to be offered on November 18 all over the world on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, and gamers who want to enjoy it on the PC will have to wait until January 27 of 2015.
Rockstar is delivering an improved experience
GTA V on the new platforms is designed to use the extra available computing power in order to deliver an upgraded experience.

The graphics are being improved and there's more detail to the world and the traffic that gamers will have to navigate through.

At the same time, there are more tracks for the included radio stations, which means that it's easier than ever to find something cool to listen to while exploring the world of GTA V.

Rockstar says that the Online component of the title is also coming with all the updates that have been delivered so far and that more content will also be offered in the coming months.

The community has long been waiting to get access to the Heists update, which is designed to introduce some complex cooperative missions with impressive rewards.

Rockstar also has plans to continue to highlight the most important missions created by the community and will also work on making sure that no bugs are part of the GTA Online experience.
